An amazing day to visit with not a cloud in the sky and superb visibility. Did a figure of 8 running route (just over 21km) using the hydro track for the descent. Whatever you think of these type of tracks, they make an excellent route off the hill! First visited (not logged) this hill 5,166 days previously (20/3/2004).

Been on my "to do" list for ages. Cycled to the track junction on the A77 near Raithburn, and ran up the track from there past Drumtree Farm. Met a bemused farmer who told me the track was a dead end, but waved me on when I told him I was heading to the trigpoint, still bemused! Got to the end of the track then walked pretty much due West past Windyhill Dam through the cleared forest. Surprisingly good views. Couple of signs for Drumtree and Clanfin Forests suggests some sort of nature reserve, but google didn't reveal anything else.

Very smelly trig which as per other logs is right at the edge of a landfill site and is not shown on the 1:25000 OS map. Parked at the end of the "private road" and nipped through a small copse of trees to get to the trig itself. Beware electric fences - looked like they were switched on but decided not to test the theory.
