Visited as YSM - and now TP as well! - searched initially in grass field where OS map has trig marked, and started to wonder what was the matter with my eyesight as couldnt see a trig! Wandered towards farm buildings in the hope to ask, and spotted trig on right side of driveway near buildings. Took photos and returned back down drive to car. Having read more recent logs, I now realise how fortunate I was not to have a] met the farmer, and b] found the trig!

Originally spotted the GC/YSM icon on my local geocaching map and drove the short distance to visit the trig point yet again; luckily visiting on a bright sunny day when a school geology group was also there, hence being able to have my photo taken with the trig [this photo is now on my geocaching profile]. When home again to my dismay the icon over Rippon had disappeared - oh no! - then realised that the GC45CC is a roaming virtual cache! Lovely views all around; I have adopted a nearby geocache which is regularly visited as well.

Whilst searching through the depths of my PC, I discovered this long-forgotten photo of this trig point, which I visited on 3.5.08 [where does the time go?] so now logging this visit on 11.8.15!!! NurseMike, now Stockport Freebird, and I were camping nearby and had a wonderful day walking miles together and even back then I was aware of trig points! Definitely remember the trig was in good condition despite the puddle around it, and the views were ooutstanding.

"Strolled" up here on a clear, too-hot, day to bag the highest height in UK as well as this trig and a letterbox = all my hobbies rolled into one! Not a walk to be lightly undertaken however, but so pleased that I have achieved it. Logging this much later in October 2014 as now loging trigpoint visits.

Had met up with geocacher Stockport Freebird and non-cacher Tina for a couple of days staying in a nearby youth hostel, and we planned a long day day walk including Hay Bluff. Weather wasnt too good but our day was wonderful with lots of banter as always between good friends. Trig point was in good condition as far as I can remember [having such a good time!] and the views between the showers were excellent!

Having perused my various walking holiday trips and have recently started [ie 2015] trigpointing, I am proud to say that I have achieved getting to this trigpoint! The weather was Welsh-wet [ie pouring and misty] but fellow geocacher Climber1958 who lives locally was a pure gentleman and still offered to act as my guide to the summit as I was keen despite the weather! Cannot remember our route but we did pass a poignant memorial to a young Welsh girl who had walked miles barefoot to obtain a Bible, which was thought-provoking. Due to the weather, scenery and views were almost nil - but on a good day they must be superb!
