This one was a bit more involved than I was expecting. Bit of a slog through the firebreak and falling in a few holes in the heather but after some huffing and puffing reached the trig. Not much to say about the trig itself really, not much of any views but the pillar is in good condition. Tried straight lining back to the car down firebreaks and through/around fallen trees and despite being a shorter distance I am not sure it was any easier really!

The OS map on my GPS suggested that the final pathless trek through the heather would be a bit less steep if I walked slightly east of the trig and then cut back through the heather. Was in Glenelg today visiting the brochs so figured this one would be a nice easy one to get as it's so close to the road. Was a steep but short scramble through the heather and was at the pillar within about 10 minutes of leaving the car. Stunning views from this one all around and the pillar was in good condition but missing it's center cap on top.

Parked up at the church and walked along the shore to get here. Nice walk by the water and I liked the old abandoned house right on the shoreline. If the shore keeps eroding I don't think it will be standing for too much longer! Nice easy find here today once at GZ as I spotted the cache in the first place I looked. Probably about the lowest elevation trig pillar I have ever done and the pillar looks to be in good condition.

Decided to go for this one today. Took the bike and cycled in from the Boath end. The path leads through someone's property but I met the owner (and his barking dogs!) and he was happy for me to pass through. The path is easy to cycle and you are soon at the the top. I recommend sticking with the path for as long as possible and skirt the edge of the flat top rather than trying to straight line it to the pillar, as the terrain looks boggy. Dumped my bike by a pile of tree trunks and carried on on foot for the final 500 feet or so. Pillar is in great condition and stunning views all around on a clear day like today.

Nice easy walk up from the parking along the main path here but a little trickier once you turn off it. Ended up fighting through gorse and the trees to come out onto the more open heather covered area. Followed a "ridge" among the baby trees and then cut in once in line with the pillar. After that I ended up spotting a tree that looked somewhat near where the pillar should be so just made a beeline for that one and was soon at the pillar and cache. Decent views of the Black Isle and Inverness from here considering it's not a very high bit of land
