As per other comments trig easy enough to locate but last section includes trampling over the remains of forestry plantation, squelching over moss and tussocky / heather ground. Trig pillar cracked and weathered but spider intact with OS shallow lettering plug. Good views of 2 local wind farms and neighbouring hills including Ben Cleugh in the Ochils, West Lomond, Meikle Bin, Holehead and onto Ben Vorlich and Stuc a Chroin.

Today damp, misty and overcast and still stunning when the sky clears to give glimpses of Wallaces Monument and beyond.

Trig in reasonable condition, unusually placed on large concrete block. Front and back sight holes open, didn't check spider centre as didn't fancy the climb onto block as covered in ice. No graffiti considering location and likewise zero views although the water tower was nicely lit by the sun. Located in housing estate on a heritage path called "The Via Flavii' or "The Auld Clay Road" as named by the Romans and cattle drovers.

Included in walk around Fairy lochs and to visit site of World War 2 air crash by Liberator Bomber returning troops to America in 1945 when it became lost and hit Slioch, killing all on board. Trig has slight damage at corner on top, no cap or plug. Lovely compact rocky summit with stunning views over Gairloch and surrounding mountains.

Unfortunately can only give 7/10 for view, joined the masses who visit this trig when the cloud cover is low and drizzly. Good clear day at base with great views until the last 400m. Snow still on the ground just short of the summit. Believe good visibility on only 10% of the year. Trig condition hard to describe as limited time to examine due to masses of people milling around area and poor visibility. Appeared in vgc which is unbelievable due to number of visitors and exposed position. Cap missing and spider polished by the touch of many hands. Walk easier than expected - 3.5 hrs up, 3hrs down, average they say but well pleased and great way to end week after walking West a Highland Way with our daughters.

Where is the 10 plus button? The views from this trig are awesome. So much respect has to be given to the Ordnance Survey men who both located the site, then carried all the equipment require to built and survey from here. First Cullin, first Munro, blown away with the views that truthfully didn't spend as much time examining the trig as at others. Very fortunate to visit when visibility was so good.

Very short walk into this trig which can see just after joining the minor road signposted to Brother Point after parking in layby just north of Glenview Hotel. Trig in good condition, shame about the plastic plug, however the views are outstanding over the west coast mainland of Scotland, Brothers Point, Raasay, Rona, the Storr etc. The real jewel in the crown of this trig is the walk onto Rubha nam Brathairean (Brothers' Point). The path climbs very steeply over Dun Hasan, the site of an Iron Age fort and gives superb sea views and the idea of isolation. Peace perfect peace and a mile of miles away from my day job!

Most northerly trig on Skye. Parked near the remain of a church at Cnoc a Chilachain. Walked around Kilmaluag Bay to see the hidden sea stack then straight up the Aird to the trig on Ben Volovaig. Trig has hair line cracks on 3 sides but otherwise in good condition with cap still intact. Great views 360 degrees. Had only intented to visit this trig but as such a beautiful day marched onto Rubha Hunish with spectacular views to the Outer Hebrides and a Mountain Bothy.

Stunning May morning with Skye recording the highest temperature in Britain for the 2nd day in a row. As others parked at Camastianaviag with a lovely walk up Ben Tianavaig. Vanessa style trig in good condition although base slightly eroding. No cap but stunning views over Portree, Sithean Chumhaing, Dun Caan and the Cullins. Great early morning walk with the hill to myself.

Cylindrical Vanessa pillar within a stone built shelter cairn, plug intact and appear in vgc. Followed Trig Point Walks on the Isle of Skye by Ian Stewart & Alistair Christie route via left hand sided single transmisson tower. Not a short and easy tramp for me across boggy wet moorland. Glad we've recently had a nice dry spell!! Returned by double transmisson towers which involved less tramping in the peaty, boggy ground. Views outstanding in 360 degrees so all in all well worth the visit.

Arrived in Skye late afternoon to visit my son (lucky him living and working here!) and as such a stunningly beautiful evening had to go walking. Took the circular walk over the shoulder of Maolach Mor, overlooking the Quiraing and onto the summit cairn of Meall na Suiramach (Hill of the Maiden). Trig point 250 metres inland on a flat summit but with stunning views east to the mainland, south to the Cuillins and onto the Outer islands. Trig built on stone with no cap, plug or facebracket. First stone built trig. Returned by the lower path to see the Quiraing close up.

Thanks to notes by Clochandighter 6/3/2004 for explaining location, every trig I visit the more I learn. Trig in vgc and as previously described. Views here and on true summit great as was the addition of exploring the lime kilns.

Passed this trig many a time, so just stopped and ran up to this trig following dyke from the south. Field drying out nicely and no livestock so great time of year to visit. Cracking views to the Ochils and surrounding countryside.

Easy lunch hour find (due to mapping). Parked at top of Drovers Drive (Even Nos 84 - 126) then followed path to top of overgrown grass/shrub area. Trig almost surrounded with shrubs which hampered views. Cap still present with sunken lettering. Flush bracket still showing white paint.
