Lots of trees cut down around the electric fence - no dogs today. Car Park still closed but easy parking on the grass verge next to where the Permissive Way starts.

Now well buried in the middle of the hedge. Managed to find it and get a picture of the flush bracket but couldn't get to the spider too see its condition. One corner slightly damaged.

Did the math and the measurements but lots of loose earth has been piled up and vegetation has grown all over it. Only had a tape and GPS, next time I'll bring a petrol strimmer and spade!!

Finally found it. At the back of the BT manhole cover. 20p coin marks it on the photos. The ants were not too amused about the grass being cleared away!! Had to snatch the 20p coin back very quickly. Easy way to find the BT cover is to stand exactly opposite the big road sign. The Detchant/Middleton arrow on the sign actually points to where the rivet is.

Easy access from farmers track. Pillar, spider and bracket all in good condition. Original OS cap in spider. Farmer drove past on tractor and waved, he must be getting used to those strange people who come to see the trig.

Easy walk up a track to this one, but the triangle of trees and nettles it sits in the middle of are not easy to get through!! They have grown a LOT since the previous visit. Something has been tied to the spider, the string is still there.

Stud is still there under the piece of tarmac. Found it using measurements from OS plan. Photographed, checked by GPS, and tarmac replaced. (Also put the grass and nettles back to keep it hidden)
