Very easy to get to. There is a car parkon main road and then a short walk. Also there is a board telling about a brotherhood of monks who lived in a settlement down on the shore. The weather today is very foggy and so the view was not good.

This is located within a FC forest. After searching around I came upon a tent and after shouting "Is there anyone there" and got no reply I looked inside and there was the trig point. See 'photos!

I frequently walk up and along the cliff top overlooking Oisgill Bay and the Little Minch. I found this TP shown on an old OS 1:25000 map and first found it in 2007. On a good day the views are great when you can see from S.Usit to Harris and further N.

It has been a great day, plenty of sunshine so I decided to visit this one as I was traveling from Glendale to E Renfrewshire. The views were very good. No clouds on any of the mountains. The pillar is in good condition except for a lump of about 4 ins out of the corner to the right of the FB.

I was unable to see the FB as there is a hawthorn tree growing against it and I did not have my bush saw with me. Good view to east up river but no view to west because of reservoir.

Surrounded with trees however I founded it easily with my GPS.It is covered in moss and some ivy. I had to remove a heap of fallen branches to see the FB. One wonders why this position was chosen given the massive elevation of 7m AMSL.

It has recently been painted white and looks quite smart in spite of the damage although the FB has not been painted and some graffiti is still visible.I now carry a piece of chalk which I use to highlight the FB before I photograph it.

The walk up to this point is very wet peat bogs.The view is excellent overlooking Loch Dunvegan and the vilage as is the view north and west to the Outer Isles and south to MacLeods Tables and the Cuillins.My camera ran out of batteries and my spares were flat therefore I was only able to get 2 snaps.The weather was fine but there was a cold but light wind. The hill was empty , no sheep or other livestock and I only saw 3 snipe. Might be something to do with it being the Sabbath!
