Very slow going ascent from the east - steep climb, gorse and trip-wire brambles all the way. Thank goodness I'd decided to run in leggings rather than shorts. Met very obvious and well trodden path for the last two hundred metres along the ridge from the SE. Descended along the same path, easy passage all the way, which eventually brought me out on a track off the right angle bend on the minor road between Skillywadden and Amalveor. Not marked as a path on my Explorer 7 (pre national roll-out and numbering of Explorer range)but obviously well used. Trig in good condition with centre plate and BM in good condition

I've been meaning to do this one for a couple of months since it was added to the site and became my nearest missing log. I went armed with the OS sketch plan, tape measure and spade in case I needed to remove any soil that had accumulated over the rivet since it was last visited by the OS 10 years ago. I didn't need the spade - the rivet sits on the only rock standing proud of the surface in the immediate area. Measurements on OS sketch plan were spot on. Gorgeous location on narrow lane into Sheepstor with views of nearby Burrator Reservoir.

Easy access to site either via gateway on road to north or site access gate at the road junction to the east. Grid reference took me to the south west corner of the reservoir top as indicated on the 1:25000 map. My GPS is usually accurate to within 7-8 m, but search as I might, on all of the obvious concrete surfaces where you might ordinarily expect to find bolts/rivets etc, for about 10 mins, I failed to find it. Not sure what else can be done when there isn't even a location sketch on the OS web site?

Initially ran past at about 6:45 with no sign of life. On return trip later there was a group of construction workers just inside the main gate. I couldn't get access but they were able to confirm that they knew what I was referring to and that it had definitely been moved. Looks like final confirmation, although I didn't actually physically visit the precise location.

A 4.5 mile run in from the premier Inn on the outskirts of Preston in dark, wet conditions. Interesting finding my way along the footpath in the dark for the last mile. Trig is fine in what, even in poor lighting, is obviously a good view point.

My first visit to an unlogged trig and my 250th log rolled into one. Just a shame that it had to be a GPS mushroom 400m away from where I work. The antenna is on the roof of a South West water building just off the A386. Easily visible from the B&Q car park next door, situated on its own red legs to raise it up from the roof.

Been meaning to visit this one for some time. Perfect opportunity today: a day's leave, wife at work, a spare couple of hours and a lovely bright November day. Ran on loop including Wembury and Heybrook Bay - high surf today. Trig itself is well covered in Ivy. A scramble up the hawthorn covered wall reveals that the spider and centre plate are still present and well protected by a thick covering of ivy. Plate convenientlyfaces into the field. Young crop in field at moment, so a wet and muddy trudge around the heads was required.

Owner was in the garden, so I called over and said I had an unusual request. Before I could explain what it was, he said "its over there"! Gave him a talk on the history of trig points etc until his eyes started to glaze over. Very pleasant guy - willing to talk about what he's done with the trig. He assured me that he went to great lengths not to disturb the trig during all of his construction work etc and that its still in its original location. In all the excitement I forgot to take a GPS reading. A good way to cop my 100th trig since starting to record last September.

Spoke to the owner of the Keep (it's a Keep not a Fort), who was very obliging and took me to the location in the inner keep that I was able to point out on a 1:1250 OS map. This was the highest point in the Keep and there was the square block of concrete at floor level which undoubtedly was the stand for the pillar - no obvious remains of the pillar left lying around. I didn't have my GPS with me, but the owner was more than happy for me to return in the future. Thanks from me to him for an interesting tour of the Keep. Unfortunately thugh the status of this one can be mvoed from possibly to definitely missing. Fantastic views all around over Plymouth Sound and to Dartmoor

Walked up from the east, through paint balling area - judging by the number of paint balls on the ground, this footpath could be an interesting walk if the paintballers were using that area. Last 500m were through bramble/bracken - difficult if you're wearing shorts! Trig is in good condition just inside the woods.

Ran here on GPS bearings from TP1023 Bordon Hill - the long way round - didn't have a map so didn't realise river Avon was in the way - turned out to be a long run, starting and finishing in Stratford-on-Avon

An easy reach from the path running up the side of the second hand car garage - ran up here from the centre of Stratford-on-Avon, intending to run on to Ash Hill (TP0895) without a map, not realising that the river avon was in between, - turned out to be quite a detour and running session!

My nearest trig. Very easy to find through the gate opposite the transmitter compound. Go through the opening over to your right and the trig is far more accessible from the far side of the wall, but is up above head height.

This is my second nearest trig and I've previously tried to find it before finding this web site - newly remotivated I thought I'd tackle it again. As previous entrants have said, the location is totally overgrown with bramble and blackthorn. Eventually got to within what my reliable GPS told me was 4m away but could get no nearer and couldn't see it. I will return with secateurs! Update 1/12/08 Returned with secateurs ! Wasn't quite where I thought it was and so had slightly easier access than I expected - found at last.

Regularly run to/through here. On a clear day the views are tremendous all around - great moorland scenery in a relatively remote location
