Logged this after doing the Summit of Worms Head. Easy bag, a steep climb to the top, but well worth the view. Was blowing a gale at the top, so much that we were unable to get to stand on "Our Spot" never mind.

At last, trig 3 for today. Came straight down the steep hill fromt Thuders Barrow, past the farm with a tea shop, and followed the sussex boundry path, easy to follow, well marked (most of the way). Good condition, cap in place. Carried on along the Sussex border path to do a loop, back to the farm shop, had a great cup of tea and cake, well worth the stop. 10 mile loop today.

From Errigham trig to here, number 2 today, exactly one hour walk from trig to trig, how weird. Camera out of battery now so had to use phone, and of course, no tripod. Thankfully it is a busy dog walking path, so collared some passer by. Trig in good condition but cap missing and filled with tarmac...should this be classed as damaged? On to trig number 3, Mount Zion.

Staying just up the road at the Pudding Club, we visited this little vilage and went for a wonder along the Cotwold Way. We were just under a mile away and it was a lovely day. Trig in lovely location with great views across the countryside from its high location. As previous triggers have said, the trigpoint has been scared by their plaque, part from that, its all in tact.

Drove to this one after Mount Pleasant, glad we did, it was further than we thought. Dead easy walk from car park past the formention detritus in the lane. You can approch this from two ways, we took the lower path to the left and came at it from the rear as the farmer was plouing the feild below. Trig in good condition, an all in tact.

Coming from Patmans trig, another easy one today. Drove up the lane and parked at the top at the entrance to a farmers field on the right. Walked back down the lane past wat looks like the remains of an old church or chapel, the trig is now directly oposite you in the field to your right, on the other side of the hedge. Walk further down the lane and take the public footpath on your right, and there it is, in an open field, go get it.

We were staying in Nairn for the Nokia Coast to Coast challenge when we were heading to Inverness and there it was, we took the usual pictures but lost them as the phone with the pictures on fell into Loch Levy during the end of the challenge, oh dear. In good condition, plug still in tact, sorry no pictures. UPDATE.. Back for a second year of the Coast To Coast Challange. Staying in Nairn at the Arora Hotel. How great to see that knowone has been to this trig since we last did. So we just had to go and get pictures, although this is a re visit, we do not want to log it again. Trig still in good condition, as it was the year before. Have booked to do the Coast to Coast in 2012, so we might just have to pay it another visit.

For us, this has to be a 10 out of 10. Its the pinnacle of standing on top of the world to us. After a 4 hour hike as part of a charity climb for the Anthony Nolan trust we reached the summit. Good weather all the way up to end of the zigzags, then became a little cloudy. The trig is in good condition considering it location and public accessibility. Cap missing, previous trig pillar visible as you climb steps to this one, which was interesting to see, we wonder when it was replaced. Our pictures includes our mountain leader Brian, who we are forever grateful too, and is a credit to his profession, Thank you Brian.

Ok, so we know trigging is supposed to be about walking to the trigpoint, but this was number 5 today and we were feeling the effects. We drove most of the way up, yes drove. We went down the country lane a little bit further down from the farm house and drove up the bridleway onto the Southdowns Way, we did not know it at the time, and parked below the summit. Walked the short distance to this lovely spot. Just as we arrived some other walkers arrived who had just hiked from Winchester, 18 miles. They took the necessary picture and we had a good chat about them and us. Trig in good condition,cap missing and next to view point information stone. Home for tea.

Number 3 of five today. We were going to do this one first but the girls in the yard would not let us in and said the owner would be back later in the day and that they would inform him. We went back later and spoke to the very kind and helpful owner and his wife. We told them about our hobby and that we made books about it. The stables are called Whitestone Stables, because of the trig. They had no idea what it was used for. Good condition, plug in place. Nice area, nice stables, lots of security, even for us!

Amazing how these things can just pop up from nowhere. Had planned to do this one of two today, got to the top of the hill, after going past the Rogate Downhill bike club and according to the OS map on the iPhone we were right next to it, then there it was, hiding behind a tree, slippery little sucker! Looks as if its in original position, just not in the ground, so we are marking this as damaged only. Great location, lovely view.

Bagged this one without research as we came from Hoads Hill. Did as previous log and used the gate opposite the cream house in the long lane, otherwise your on the wrong side of the hedge. Surrounded in thorn bushes but thankfully the hedging had been recently cut, but still a painful and bloody experience trying to get on top of this one. In good condition.

This was trigging Saturday, nothing much was going to stop us from doing this one, a great location. We called the number previously listed here and spoke to the caretaker in the activities office who told us we could come and do our trigging but they shut at 1. Made our way there and took one of the Trig books we have made to sway our mission, Tony the caretaker could not have been more helpful or accommodating, He told us to take our time and feel free to have a look around, so we did, what a fantastic opportunity to go exploring this wonderful location, The trig is in good condition, cap missing and a little short of hight, we guess it has sunk over the years. Thank you so much Tony, you made our day.

Number 3 of 5 today. Heading south from Argos Hill we came to our second windmill of the day. We parked in Dads Hill road and walked acros the field to the rear of the winmill. Tried knocking at doors but got no answer as we could not see the trig from our location, and this was a bit hit and miss as to where it would sit. Trig in fairly good condition, although the concrete around the anchor points on top seem rather deep.

Number 2 of 5 today. Knocked at the house at the bottom of the windmill (the windmill belongs to the council) and the nice lady said it was not in her garden but would be in the Mill House, so up the path to the house, knocked and no answer, so a window of opportunity arose. Remembering that "trespass - a civil wrong - is a matter between you and the landowner, security and the police 'escort you from the premises'. Access is by means presented, not created. So we walked through the gap in the hedge, taking nothing but memories and leaving nothing but footprints. Trig in good condition, nice location.

We last did this Trig in May when there were bees all around so it was impossible to get near or even stand on, so as we were passing we decided to get our picture on it this time around. Trig in hawthorn bushes so very prickly to get near and take picture of face bracket. Top has been damaged by the cutting of the hedges. View towards South Downs over fields is about all the view there is to report.

Going to say this one is in good condition with the cap missing. Looking at the information board near this trig you can see that the centre plug was originally on this trig, but at some point it has gone missing and is now filled with tarmac. Personally we feel the NT plaque symbol on this is terrible, not very cosmetic added. In total there are three plaques on this trig. Nice to see an original photo and information about the trig, which is not the standard high we are used to. Good views across Surrey from here.

Drove along Riverhill Lane, past signs for little Bognor, at the end of Riverhill do immediate right onto dirt track and public bridleway, there is a small car park next to a locked gate. Follow the long path on foot as it goes up hill, as the path flattens out you need to go into the forest on your left, before the path starts to go down hill again. About 30 meters into dense woodland, keep em peeled, it's in there somewhere! The trig is in good condition with plug still in tact, moss grows on the outer, and it looks as if it might have been painted white at some point. Hard to believe that this trig was visible from another trig at some point, given the woodland that surrounds it, although this trig was placed between 1950-1952, so 60 years growth.

As you will see from our pictures this one still stands. We were uncertain weather to tackle this one in the dead of night with the lat report saying it might be missing. Drove down Rectory Lane then turned left into Grange Lane, drove past the houses on the left for a short way and parked in front of the gate. With a full moon to guide these covert triggers we had to step over some fencing to bag our 58th trig. Hard to see in the dark, and were pressed for time, but covered in moss and at least one chunk missing from a corner. Trig is in a muddy field and would be fairly hard to do during the day due to the close proximity of the overlooking houses. We had a lot of fun doing this one, a bit like doing Hedhone Farm, lol.

Top is very damaged and leaning, but stable enough to stand on top as always, although was a little unsteady under foot. Nothing of a view, its on the edge of a feild and next to hedgerow.

WOW, what a trig. Weather not brilliant, cloudy base occurred just before going under second rail bridge, although the day before there were 70mph gusts so we were lucky. 3 hour walk up the Llanberis path, started out at 8.15am to avoid the tourists, and boy are they ill prepared tourists, this is a MOUNTAIN!!!! The whole experience makes this a 10/10 for us. Thank you to all that helped us prepare for this trip, we really did feel on top of the world together, and make this our 50th trig.

Having come from Broadreed Trig, stopping for some refreshment in the name of the local cider Adelstones we made our way here. Parked at Cowdown Lane near farm building and got talking to the guy who lives in the little house there, very knowledgeable about the area, told us the story about some tea smugglers on horse back who stopped near by to get fresh horses and through the owner down the local well along with there spent horses....anyway, nice fella. Short walk along tree covered path, turn right onto PRW across field, up the hill, trig on your left in a small copse as stated, lovely views of downs and the Sussex/Surrey border hills. Trig is slightly damaged, plug in good condition with raised letters. This was our 49th Trig, so now we are going off to Snowdonia to mark our 50th. Now, where was that beer shop with the cider!

Decided we would approach this one from the south. Drove down Blakehurst Lane and parked at the car park at the end, nice walk through the Angmering Park Estate then headed north, passed some farm buildings and dwellings to be met by a wonderful view of the south downs walk, Kithurst, Rackham trigs that we had done several weeks previous. To the left we could clearly see Blackpatch trig as it stands out on top of its hill. Walked up a little further to the left, over a gate and higher up into the field with sheep, and there it was in all its glory. Fantastic views all around all the way to Bignor Beacon and the Midhurst transmitter. It was nice to see the SDW from the south and very clearly visible is the walk you could take across the top, worth the trip to this one on a nice day. Trig in good condition, and yes the base is eroded.

This was a battle of resources. Girlfriend with OS map, me with Sat nav...... after going around and around in circles with a conflict of information due to being ill prepared for this one we eventually found it in the woods just off the SDW. Looks like it has been lifted or moved in some way so we have marked it accordingly as damaged. Was tricky to see in the woods and dappled sunlight as it blended in with the trees. A lot of fun this one, and made for some good memories.

We defy anyone to get close to this one at this time. Approached trig via the perimeter of the field and saw the bee hives, trig was approx 10 feet past them, so we navigated past them only to see a large bee nest 8 feet the other side of the trig, got as close as we dare but even our love of trigging was not enough to get us on top. Good luck to anyone who gets closer.

This was number 3 of our 3 trigs in a day mission. Parked at Amberly and walked to Rackham & Kithurst trigs before this one. 12 mile round trip. Good view over to Cissbury Ring from here. The patch of grass at the top of this hill is for model aircraft enthusiasts.

Made a dusk visit to bag this one, 3rd time lucky for us. Buried deep in brambles. Push past gate against the fence on the left, walk up path and trig is on the right opposite the opening to the compound on the left. We broke down the brambles.

Parked at bottom od Dankton Lane and walked up, had to negotiate steep climb across field but easier ways are available, Trig is on the path of the Southdowns Way walk. Fantastic panoramic views all around the south from here, could see Beachy Head easily, yes this does feel like top of the world!

We drove most of the way to this one then walked for ages around the field trying to find it, Eventually found it when we had almost given up hope. Go all the way along the path until you reach a gate, go over the gate and you will see it on the right in the woods, Nice view across downs.

Long uphill walk for us. Did not realize it was as far ap the path as it was, so imagine our surprise when we spotted it in the distance at the top of this lovelt spot. Like standing on top of the world for us as the sun began to set

Moved as previously stated. Lovely views toward Goodwood. Fairly easy to find on edge of field, but getting to the field was a little tricky, parked in North Lane and walked across field into small wooded area and across.
