After 5 mins or so of faffing around prodding the ground aimlessly at the end of the passing place had a look at the OS Sketch and measured out the 17.6m from the drain and bingo, hit it immediately. Standard 1" Bolt in concrete block, right on the verge edge. Just an inch or 2 down, so a standard Surface Block in reallity. 19 mins from pulling in to driving off.

1" bolt at west end of south pull in. 1m from road. 8cm deep. No sign of pin in road described in earlier posts.

Found easily with help from Peregrinus photographs . Helps to find the marker on side of the road first .

1" bolt in block, buried 3" down so just a normal Surface block, although Buried block on PSD. Most of reference points on OS sketch apparently gone but pin still there, close to edge of tarmac (at W end of puddle) 17.6m E of drainage channel in verge (and 6.5 W from centre of old Elm stump which is regrowing). Block is 1.64m from pin, 1m from edge of grass verge. Reburied but depression should be noticeable.
