Elevation: 27 metres. Located in playing fields just to the southeast of Ballykelly. Not sure if there was ever a pillar at this location, just an circular enclosure of about 5 metres diameter. A 1 metre stone and mortar wall with capping stones and a 1.2 metre high white painted wrought iron fence. A section of the fence can be unbolted for access to the enclosure but you would need steps to do this. Inside the enclosure there appears to be a rough mound completely covered in long grass and weeds. No evidence of a pillar or any sort of mounting. No sign of any flush bracket inside or outside of the enclosure. There are some weeds growing from the walls of the enclosure. There are some football pitches nearby and a childrens play enclosure. There is also easy parking nearby. The enclosure has a double flagstone path surrounding it and eading away from it and an adjacent power pole. Binevenagh can be seen over a local housing estate and other distant points can be seen too but none readily identifyable.
