On balance, have to say this is not the base of the destroyed pillar. It doesn't appear to be concrete (aggregate) and is too far away from the current pillar - the GR's provided by the OS would put the old and replacement pillars within a metre of each other.

Stone plinth adjacent to 11112 looks to be base for a pole of some kind, isn't trig related. Can see the new trig has been rebuilt in situ on base of old. Revisit for G2017 gathering - my 2013 log has more detailed reasoning.

Called back later for a 2nd look. I don't think the stump is trig related. (1) It is a few inches smaller that the foot of the replacement pillar (Hotine pillars are standard design so it should be the same size, or if it's the base, considerably larger) (2) there is no sign of a concrete base - Hotines always have a base (3) I'm pretty sure it is stone not concrete; no exposed aggregate; look at the way it has eroded. I cleared out the centre hole - nothing down there of any interest. So, logged as Destroyed. For the record it is 2m west of 11112. A quick internet search which came back with a reference to former "Olympick" games, and a nearby wartime pillbox, but nothing relevant.

Stone not concrete?
Centre hole Former mounting for a rod of some kind?
Stone block / base Pretty sure this is a single stone block not concrete

Not 100% sure but guess it's the lower few inches of a Hotine trig pillar, couple of metres SW of replacement 11112. Circular hole at centre could be where Bolt was. Nice views.
