Revisit for photographs and GPS reading. Approached from NE after finding a safe parking spot nearby. Easiest route up is to follow the boundary fence from SD250807 to the summit. Open grazing moor on access land. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains OS centre cap with shallow engraved letters. Flush bracket faces northeast, ~34. Vented through SW and NW sight holes. 360 open outlook from top being challenged by a sudden downpour.

Metal cap, shallow letters, NW and SW s/holes open, FB numbers have been painted yellow (or cleaned?) - seen this somewhere before, can't remember where, vgc.

In 1950 this marker was computed for triangulation as secondary station SD47/1 in the Barrow-in-Furness block. Flush bracket S5385 was levelled for height in 1954. This trig point was last maintained by the OS in November 1976. Spider retained original OS centre plug with shallow engraved letters. No photos taken.
