(2603) Visited site for the replacement pillar. See TP4832 for details. Pillar history: Built on the 26th of May 1947, at a cost of £9 7s 7d. FB was S4071. Destroyed/rebuilt in the early 1960s.

Didn't realise this one had even existed, as it's not easily visible on the app. This must have been replaced almost like for like by 10693 (http://trigpointing.uk/trig/4832). Bagged as covered the ground whilst visiting the newer pillar.

Presumably replaced by extant Pillar. logged as was here anyway ?? Electric Fence, Barbed Wire, Brambles and a field full of Cow Pats. it's almost as if they don't want us to visit it.

Spent my childhood exploring mill bank. There was only ever one trig round ther then, so Teds replacement idea may be right. Was probably about 1967-8 when I first went there and actually to it. The area round it was clearer then. The trees were planted after Mr Beeching shut the railway !
