Walked up from Stratford Upon Avon, quick hop over the gate and short walk up to trig. Stopped off at Anne Hathaway's cottage on way back.

Travelled to Stratford-upon-Avon to catch up with friend with terminal illness who was helping at the Staffs checkpoint on the LDWA 2023 EBB 100 mile challenge walk. Being a little early, took opportunity to park up, coincidentally almost next to Anne Hathaway's "cottage" and had a quick "gawp" around outside before following FP up to pillar hill. Expecting a rather unassuming pillar I was pleasantly surprised to find a 360 panorama, with a fine view over what I think must be the vale of Evesham and N Cotswolds.

Parked on sliproad into secondhand car dealership to ESE, on Evesham Rd. PRoW initially up side of said dealership, then mast access track. Pillar sits on Bordon Hill (typo by the OS in naming this one perhaps?). Centre cap missing, no plug; rear sight hole open. Some nice views.

Wish all hill top reservoirs were like this one, just of the summit and leaving summit and trig clear of their wretched fencing. Waxed lyrical in one way conversation with fearty but curious cows. Shakespeare might've liked that!

Parking on the car dealers forecourt as it was evening, simple stroll along footpath then over gate towards masts, pillar located a few meters beyond. Good condition. Reasonable views.

Parked on road above A Hatherways cottage along bridleway,met friendly farmer who directed on our way to pillar which sits on large meadow near to mast.Good views but noisy road below.

Did this one with CherryBubb after doing a couple of caches. Parked out of the way by the second hand car dealer, (it was closed as it is a Sunday) and walked along the footpath. Through the kissing gate and after about 100m climbed over the barbed wire to the top of the hill. Despite the weather, there were 360 degree views here. Easy access really.

A stunningly vivid morning with excellent visibilty in all directions. I had to rush back down to town to catch a train, but definitely would like to extend a walk into the surrounding hills some other time.

An easy reach from the path running up the side of the second hand car garage - ran up here from the centre of Stratford-on-Avon, intending to run on to Ash Hill (TP0895) without a map, not realising that the river avon was in between, - turned out to be quite a detour and running session!

Having read others' comments about parking on the B439, I walked up from Shottery. The footpath starts as a track on the LH side of the primary school, then as a path on the RHS of the entrance to the plant nursery. Good views from the top in all directions except for the phone mast.

Plug now unfortunately missing. The way in is to the right of the small second hand car dealers. Parking is a little tricky, I ended up going down the hill towards Stratford and parking on the forecourt of the Indian restaurant.

Yet again I managed two pillars with consecutive numbers! Actually, I think there is a spelling error here, as the place is called BOrdon Hill and not BArdon Hill. Its just off the end of a tarmac drive to the Bordon Hill Severn Trent pumping station and so access was quite easy. It's all intact with the central plug; erosion around the base is quite bad, however. Good views over Stratford-on-Avon and west towards Alcester. However, the ambience is rather ruined by a mobile phone mast which [as I don't possess a mobile phone] I think I have every right to describe as hideous!!
