Good museum with scary waxworks. Too wet to visit nearby pillar. Disappointed and soaked.

An excellently-refurbished building , now home to the Roman Museum. Very interesting! Also logged the local cache.

Senhouse Roman Museum, a Grade II listed building. Not much of a spire but probably prominent given the location. Museum closed today, parked in their small car park to bag the trig pillar, Camp Farm, and also the cut benchmark.

Not much of a spire, if it's the stumpy bit behind the chimney.

By the Roman fort, the banks of which are obvious beside this drill hall (it's not really a proper heavy duty battery)

I liked this. The battery was pre-1900, with two guns pointing out to sea. Now a museum for the Roman era, with a huge fort (see 'Time Team' on the tele, and very clear on Google Earth) on the fields behind the battery. All relevant to Hadrian's Wall. Museum well worth a visit. Parking fine, having driven along the prom
