Continuing my walk from Isbister via Lanchestoo (TP4335) I walked the 2 miles northwards along the track, past the abandoned haaf fishing station at Fethaland, onto the 'Isle' of Fethaland and up to the lighthouse. About 5 metres W of the SW corner of the lighthouse fence is a 2.5-inch bolt in a concrete block. Superb views from here and an amazing location next to the 60-metre cliffs. From the block itself some views of Yell and Unst are blocked by the lighthouse - the latter's construction in 1977 was some 16 years after the block was installed. A really fantastic walk!
