CBM on NW corner of tower. Lady invited us back to the open day in June during which you could gain access to tower. She has never noticed the bolt and said that the current flagstaff is not the original, but came from "three vicar's back and was installed by the scouts and the roof has leaked ever since".

Centre, Vane & Flagstaff all in view. There should be a bolt on the roof. St Madern. 'west tower of only two stages, but the lower one very tall. At its upper end a corbel table. The tower is unbuttressed' PEVSNER.
