There's a lot of big weeds growing out of the spire, some serious maintenance is required! On the corner of a busy crossroads in one of, I'm sorry to say, Scotland's least attractive towns.

This church has changed hands three times. Originally built in 1874 as Trinity Church for the United Presbyterian Church, it transferred to the Church Of Scotland in 1929. Then in 1973 it switched to the Catholics and was renamed Holy Trinity. Built of Corncockle Sandstone from the Corncockle Quarry, Templand, a village near Lockerbie where in the early 1800's a fossil of a Dimetrodon was discovered, and thought to be a mere 300 million years old. It's amazing what an intersected station can lead to!

Previously viewed from The Hass (TP6388) in May 2012 but upon my return to Lockerbie in October 2012 I viewed the church close up. The church stands beside a busy junction in the middle of Lockerbie town centre. Parking available at Tesco or in the High Street nearby.
