A log for the flagstaff location, seen from a train, but obviously not a log for the bolt! Not sure I could actually see the flagstaff as the top part of the tower was shrouded in scaffolding.

NZ42 007 BOLT and FLAGSTAFF reported at this location. The flagstaff is a modern aluminium post in the centre of the tower. The Bolt is located some 5m away to the SE under a security camera. The tower comprises of 325 steps which are pretty narrow at the the top. Ive been up easier hills. The views are worth the 5 charge for access. Flagstaff is reported at NZ 27357 42145 (My GPS NZ 27358 42144) the bolt is at NZ 27361 42139 (my GPS NZ 27361 42140)
