I have opted for the vane in this record as this is clearer than the flagstaff in my picture. I visited the church to log the 1GL bolt on the west face of the tower, not to be confused with the bolt possibly still extant somewhere on the top of the tower.

Skipton church from The Bailey Vane and flagstaff are visible. Flush bracket 1466 is on the wall beside the left-hand post.
