A lovely church. Unfortunately it was shut on day of my visit.

Short deviation from Hadrian's Wall Path on day 1 of the walk to bag this intersected station. Should have search for the benchmark but was being left behind by rest of the group so no time. Dedicated to St Michael and All Angels, the church was centre stage in the 1640 Battle of Newburn. OS database also records a bolt, destroyed March 1976.
