Tower extant with rather fat lookalike for the FS recorded as Dest 06/79. Bolt not accessed

Seen from the adjacent Badminton School whilst taking our granddaughter to a swimming lesson there. I did think the apparent flagstaff was rather bulky but I see from other logs it's a comms mast.

The building, of which the water tower forms a part, is Grade II listed, 1925. The area is described as a 'retirement village' and comprises several other buildings of similar vintage. The OS lists Bolt and Flagstaff as components: the former not investigated; the latter has gone and what appears to a tall telecoms mast is in situ at top of the tower. Marked as 'inaccessible' for the Bolt.

ST57 T66 FLAGSTAFF and BOLT. The Water tower is very elaborate in style and blends seamlessly in ith the surrounding buildings. Flagstaff reported destroyed 6/79. Today a telecom mast has replaced the flagstaff of the same style and from a distance certainly looks the part. I recognise it may not be in the exact same location but i'll record condition as good. Access to base of tower a little tricky as within the grounds of the care home.
