Waterlogged track from East through peat cuttings . Parking on gravel track just past houses by gate, thereafter track is mud or pool. Good views of sea both sides.

Came up semi submerged track from the east. Weather had been awful so very boggy. Made it hard work. Rewarded with great views, then the heavens opened.

A damp misty day. Semi-submersed track from minor road to E. Pillar has what appears to be a composite top cap; LHD side sight hole open. 360deg panorama, most likely better in more amenable weather.

Near to the end of a long walk out to Tiumpan Head and back from Stornoway. Excellent views to the mountains of Harris, Trotternish, and hazier, across to the mainland.
