I parked at the end of the farm track on the verge and walked along ROW to the pillar, easily located on footpath. Good condition if a tad short.

Used the car park at Patrington playing field. Walked down Holmpton Road to Whalebone corner then pleasant arable fields on a public footpath brought me in from the West towards the mast and pillar, which is in good condition with original metalwork. It is sinking, but I was able to read the FB thanks to Duncan's good work below. Nice and quiet countryside, Holderness.

Approach From PROW looking E. Pillar is to right of mast and is on the ROW.

Found it next to mast that we were working on , dug the rubble away from the front to reveal the fb, not sure why it is being cover but could easily be dug out on all sides , I didn’t have time

Drove straight up to farm and parked at the side of the pillar, Trig does have all its top metal work but is sadly nearly half burried under rubble and soil

(832) Poor internet connection meant a few wrong turns was taken before I found myself in the right area. Parked up on the grass verge at North Farm, and walked down to the pillar's location. But could have easily driven down. Pillar located passed the Mast, and in the RHS of the hedge. Hard to spot as everything was completely overgrown, but the nettles covering it was soon trampled down. The FB area needed some soil and broken glass removal before being able to record it properly, but that aside, all was good. Pillar history: Build date and cost not listed in the archive. Last maintained by the OS around 1987.

Followed the advice of previous visitors and drove here. Pillar on side of track near mast. Original plug with slightly-indented letters. Traces of paint. Sight holes below vegetation level. Uninspiring views.
