One of eight trigs bagged along the A66 corridor, making my way home after spending the bank holiday weekend in Keswick. This was the fourth. Nice looking church with the weather vane clearly visible. There's a very clear CBM & rivet to the left of the main entrance. It was very bust outside with a Punch & Judy show gathering a lot of positive attention, possibly arranged for the bank holiday.

Should have logged the church tower with vane and flagpole as well as bench mark and bolt much sooner seeing as I live in Penrith. Can see more of vane from windows half way up stairs to library. Met a Church Warden, no access to roof, despite him being unaware of bench mark and thanking me for pointing it out.

Never visited Penrith, but an early finish on the tops gave me reason to visit this town. A lovely church in the middle of town and perhaps one of my favourites that I have visited. Flagstaff, vane and CBM with bolt easily located. An exciting weekends just gone by where a 24hr record was toppled and a female record was set. These five are for you.
