Walked up from Pecorama. Trig easy enough to find but getting a photo of the flush bracket required first getting very nettles legs as in crop troos and then having climb up on plinth.

Walked down from Beer YHA were we had stayed the night. Public paths, then farm tracks and field boudaries. Trig mounted on large plinth maybe in excess of 1m high within an old field boundary embankment; becoming quite overgrown and mossified. Cleared fair bit of vegetation. Pillar has a large chunk of concrete missing from one top corner and some additional screed also gone from top surface; original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; rear sight hole open.Extensive views E; partial views S & N; W obscured by woodland. ***Revisited 24 Feb 2018 with Carole Engel.

7th tick of the day. An excellent day's cycling. Walked up from Branscombe. Took some finding as woods more extensive than shown on 1:50,000 or 1:25,000 maps. Now on edge of wood, rather than between fields.

Approached from north. It is sitting in hedge about 3/4 of the way down the wood. Once again, an easy spot as previous baggers have kindly cleared undergrowth. A bit of a scramble up to view top (plug still intact) and view FB. A slightly sad looking trig due to damage to top.

I approached from the north having found the FBM. Kept to tracks then field boundary. Trig visible from field, probably due tome clearing from previous visitors, just leaving the nettles to get through. I would normally not worry about nettles but I was wearing shorts today. Had to clamber up onto the ivy covered plinth to reach around and get a photo of the FB. Headed off back into Beer to retrieve my car from the Youth Hostel car park where I had stayed the previous night.

Sadly we couldn't find it due to a mass of unmarked boundaries on our land ranger map and time running out. Seems like we might have been able to find it if we climbed a few fences. Bit of a shame but beautiful views and plenty of plenty of geocaches around to hunt for instead. Check out the caves if your visiting. Well worth a look.

This was not the easiest of things to find. As can be seen from the pics it is very well hidden by the trees etc (the bag is at the bottom of the trig). This is not helped by it being about 4ft of the ground on a wall or something. So if like me you think it will be in the hedge you are looking in the wrong place to start with.I approached this one from the coast path just outside the NT field I headed(over a gate!) towards the wood. Do not be tempted into the woods by the hole in the fence at the corner of the field(you can't move in the woods) but carry on around the field untill you reach the gate for the next field(in the corner) follow the side of this field round to the left back towards the woods and at the corner bear right. The trig is on the wall about half way along this fence with the woods.

How frustrating! I must have got close, but with only a Landranger and no GPS this one will take some finding. I crossed 'Mickandshane's sheepy field and even went down on my hands and knees in the unmarked plantation, which is infested with dangling brambles, to no avail. Widget might have found it as she disappeared for 10 minutes, but we'll never know! I made up for the miss by rescuing a bramble-entwined sheep on the way back. Nearest pub is the hotel at the end of the road but parking costs 2!

Just off the coastal path across a sheepy field, over a gate, and up the side of a wood. The wood isn't shown on my 1997 map but it's the long thin field to the east of the trig. Trig has had a ding by a hedge trimmer or somesuch. Plug with indented lettering.
