An easy walk from B885 along a Land Rover track and then up along a wet and lumpy track through the forest.Very good visibility VG could see part of the Cuillins through the trees.

Parked in forestry carpark and followed track through the trees up to trig. Approximately 5km out and back. Lovely plantation, nice to get lost in the trees

Parked on the road at the bottom of the forestry track then took a compass bearing through the woods. Hadn't researched the trig before going so was overjoyed to find it was a "Vanessa" my first one!

Easy enough walk to this Vanessa pillar. Take the forest track all the way to the end, do not be tempted to turn off until you see the trigpoint sign. Then a short section of boggy, muddy ground following a firebreak to the trig. Charlie's first outing in the carrier due to his forced rest after a knee operation.

Got this on second attempt after tried to be ambitious initially and navigated to base of hill inaccessible due to heavy forest. Took the forest walk the next day and at end of forest road, a helpful sign directed me to the trig. very peaceful with all round view.

The first trig I have visited where the route to the trig has a signpost!

The Trig
The sign The landowner has left a break in the forest and put up this sign for the occasional visitor. Nice to feel welcome!
