(1454) Former site of Kiveton Colliery - the derelict land has been nicely landscaped into a 57 hectare community wood, grass and wetlands. A good few folks making use of it today, as well as the adjacent fishing ponds. Chimney gone, as is every other trace of the colliery, but there is a memorial stone to those who lost their lives whilst it was in operation.

Now community parkland and fishing area. Nicely done - would be even nicer if it wasn't blowing a hooley and lashing with rain!
