Nice church, nice village. My first visit. Nice milestone next to it. Why is London marked on it?

Visited on the way to Clun for some HuMP bagging. Fine example of a Norman church built by the Mortimer family; completed 1310 and dedicated to St Michael and All Angels. Currently surrounded in scaffolding - good to see these lovely old buildings being maintained. Cut benchmark to be found on NW corner.
