1" bolt in block 2" down, as per CJO directions. Cut bm on LH gatepost. Rivet on stump by RH gatepost but is it OS? Not in their records and doesn't look right to me

Bench Mark, Bolt and Rivit all within a few feet of each other. Bolt took a little finding as rain was lashing down and everywhere was like a mud bath.

took some finding due to tall vegetation. Location ~1.6m towards road from the big tree trunk post uphill of the stone gatepost, ~2m from the road

Easy enough surface block. Excavated out so if you find the telltale depression in the ground, it's there. OS sketch is also spot on. Literally walked up to. Missed the rivet and the bloody benchmark despite having found 10 others in a few days in the area! Curses!

Dont want to be pedantic but was thinking this should be logged as 2 separate items, rivet and surface block. Rivet easy to find, block still uncovered from previous visit a year ago (thanks).

I couldnít resist the cluster of Trigs in the Hexham area visited whilst on a day out along Hadrianís Wall, Bit of an OS hot spot this one with a Surface Block a Rivet and Bench Mark all within a few feet !!!

Took a while to find - to begin with I was too deep and too close to the gate. Some fresh excavations deceived me. In the end, although it was buried, it was still quite close to the surface.

Unsure how to record this one... I found the Classic Benchmark on left gatepost, a Rivet on the right gatepost.. but was blissfully ignorant of the Surface Block !!
