Lovely remote feeling to this trig, Ireland clearly visible. Pillar in good condition, exposed concrete plinth on rocky summit of this marilyn; original cap in place, raised lettering (as with most Islay trigs seen); 1 sight hole open. Feral goats and extensive 360deg views make this a worthy place to visit.

Revisiting the trigpoint on my coastal walk round Islay. Both visits have seen a pair of Golden Eagle circling over neighbouring Dun Athad. Fabulous location.

Looking WNW towards Dun Athad and American Monument
Self-timer Difficult to find a stable spot for this one!

Perched on the edge of a big quartzite crag. 200m straight drop to the sea. There will be good sightings of Ireland from here, but not today. On a bike tour of Islay, and of course visiting some of the hills.

The summit, there is nothing behind it
The other side, 200m crags
