Located 4.5m west of the metal stump near top of the hill. I declined to dig out any more turf due to the potential 20k fine for disturbing the ground! I would estimate the bolt at 2" dia. 3" bolts are reserved for 'concrete ring' buried blocks and curry stools.

3" bolt refound with no tools and some difficulty, 4.5m west of the metal stump. There's a rivet BM on N base of pylon in field at start of path, if you're really keen. (Apologies to jonglew for west/east confusion, now corrected)

Sunny bolt bagging

2" bolt in concrete block, approx at highest point. Although recorded as a Buried Block it was covered by only 2-3" of turf and easily found. Left uncovered. There is a rusty length of upright tube a few metres east of the block. Computed date is 01/06/1951 The Chunnel pillar a short way downslope to the west came along much later.
