Spoke with estate manager, Mark, at the Norris Castle Farm. He walked me up the the house explaining no access allowed to top of the tower as unsafe. He confirmed the bolt is extant, the OS used to regularly be up there surveying in years past, but not been there for a while now. 18thC house (not a castle as no defensive fortifications) built by Sir Henry Seymour 1799. Grade I listed building. Used to be open to the public but now owned by a trust and no public access. Interesting photos from previous logger who appears to have accessed the roof, shame no log!

SU31 T017 BOLT. Unable to get close. Roads and other access points all marked private. No views from vantage points I could easily get to.
