Walked up from the road to the South, interseting tower, remains of Oratory built 1328, fell into disuse 16thC on dissolution of the monasteries. Only the octagonal tower remains, great views over to Hoy Monument.

SU31 INT154 CENTRE. Also known as the Pepper Pot and is the remains of an old chapel (St Catherine's Oratory). Also on site is the Salt Pot which are the footings of an old lighthouse that was never completed. The Salt Pot is now used to house electrical equipment for mast.
