Drove up to the gates of the warehouse which is now in operation. Not much life around, otherwise I would have asked if maybe they had incorporated the pillar into their visitors area, possibly as an ornamental feature. Probably not, anyway. I find it impossible to give a score of "0" meaning that something has absolutely zero interest, however this got pretty close. I lived in China for a while and worked in the petrochemical sector, this area of Teesside reminded me a little of the industrial complexes along the Yangtze.

Missing. It is still on google satellite images I think. Looked around the general area from the dirt road but found nothing. I have not looked further into the area or round the edges of the field.

The hole where the trig used to be is obvious enough but despite a good look around could find no sign of any remains. Plenty of slag from the former ironworks plus some brickwork but no concrete fragments at all. Possibility therefore that the trig was removed intact rather than demolished on site? The land is still for sale but no sign of any developments. Impressive landscape in its own way.

There is now just a hole in the ground. Unless development is expected immediately, then this would appear to be wanton vandalism.
