The factory was situated site on the banks of the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal on the edge of the village of Frampton on Severn in the Vale of Berkeley to the north of Dursley. From the opposite side of the canal the large white concrete silo can be seen sporting a replacement flagstaff. The view from the towpath is restricted to the canal, its pleasure craft and a swing bridge. A wooded hill can be seen in the distance to the northeast.
