Likewise, meandered up and down using both narrow paths and wide tracks, somehow managing to go straight to the top with no trouble. Enjoyed the seating at the trig; very restful there for ten minutes or so. Pillar has its cap with deep lettering, and one sight-hole open.

Very straightforward if you follow the correct tracks--I only found them on the way down! However, I really enjoyed my meandering route up through lovely woodland following little paths.

Intended to started from CP (N57 12.741' W3 00.083'). However track up was a very slippery slope so we had to park on the verge near the road and hope the car managed to stay on the grass and not slip down onto the road whilst we headed up the hill. This would have been a very easy track in different conditions but today it was very icy and snowy. At N57 12.795' W3 01.096' we took a track to the right which then started to descend, so we decided to head up through the trees (which I found hard going!) to N57 12.886' W3 01.303' where we ended up on a track, we then found a route up through the trees to the trigpoint which was very steep and had a lot of snow to negotiate, tough going. Very windy at the trigpoint so didn't hang about to admire the views. Found the path back which ended up at N57 12.780' W3 01.466' which probably would have been a better route up. Still had to take a man path to get back onto the original track. Perhaps without the snow cover route finding is a lot easier!

Started from CP to ESE. Initially followed yellow route to get to N side of forest, then followed track at forest edge (still on yellow route for a while). Nice summit with good views, in particular the snow covered Cairngorms looked fine. Spider has OS metal cap.
