Grade II listed, 1886. A lovely old water tower. Flagstaff gone and, reading CJO's log, the Bolt has been moved and preserved by the present owner. House currently has a For Sale board outside.

Spoke to owner who restored the property into a lovely house. He has a photo showing the flagstaff in 1961. But even better - he retained the bolt on a piece of the roof. It's in his cellar or possibly the garage. He very kindly had a quick look but couldn't find it before another visitor arrived to give a quote for his garage repair. The bench mark at the top of the tower indicates the old base water level of the tank. A very interesting visit. We even got to look in the cellar whose access steps are those recycled from the outside of the tower. Should the bolt now be logged as "moved", "preserved", or perhaps "it's here somewhere".
