Walked up normal route from Pitlochry to lovely summit, high cloud with sun so great views all around, then descended via tops of Creag Bhreac, Meall na h-Aodainn Moire and Meall Uaine.

From Moulin Inn .. Easy walk up to Loch A Choire then slog up in deep snow to summit and pillar .. Clear views all across central belt .. Exhilarating .. Worth a 10 ...

Walked from The Moulin Inn where i was staying. Hard snow after the Lochan was passed so crampons on. Biting wind on the summit but blue skies & views all around,Beinn A'Ghlo looking very fine.

Walked up from the car park at Moulin. Swarms of large black flies spoilt parts of the lower sections but views from the top excellent and very little wind.

vgc. Forgot to check top cap. Trig adopted by Perth & Kinross Council. Wind driven scotch mist at the top did nothing for the view nor photo clarity. From S, took signposted path to bealach, then Meall Uaine, Aodainn, then character-building heathery traverse to Daimh, then good path to trig. Another 9 folk on their way up even on a dreich day. Met a couple who had been up their local hill <hundreds of times>.

Just by the summit which is marked by a toposcope. Cover missing of course. Very fine viewpoint and easily visited by a staircase running up from Loch a' Choire. The hill was as busy as a Lake District fell today, as it was a holiday weekend in some areas.

On a Corbett bag log before trig pointing days. (hence no GR or FB). Really cold day with a fair degree of snow about Good views at the summit but bitter cold. Done with Nozzer.

Second visit, on a work's outing, starting off from Killiecrankie in the rain which went off quickly, but again no view from the summit, only a curiously hungry sheep. Back then to Moulin, the cloud had cleared by then.

Visited to record FB number. HISTORY: Pillar completed 1st August 1957 costing 66.1s.11d. Computed as secondary triangulation station NN96/7 within the Pitlochry block during 1959. Levelled for height also in 1959. Last maintained by the OS in October 1987. SITE VISIT: Pillar still in good condition when visited 10/06/1997. Spider no longer retains OS centre cap. Flush bracket faces NNE. Trig pillar not quite at summit. Absolute summit is occupied by a cement pointed cairn. FB number assembled in three blocks, "S94","4","4". Ben Vrackie is within easy reach of Pitlochry. Big long views in all directions. Photographed 10/06/1997, GRP.

identified 43 munros with the help of the observation plaque. splendid views of Ben Avon 29 miles, Ben Nevis 51 miles and Ben Lomond 49 miles. Ring ouzels on summit rocks.
