Beautiful visit on a special birthday. St Martinís is the oldest mediaeval church in Salisbury pre-dating the cathedral. I picked up a postcard showing a painting of St Martinís by Turner (1799) with the cathedral uncharacteristically shown in the background. A cheeky portrait, I thought. A bright, vibrant interior full of interest, concluded a memorable return to my favourite English city.

Walked over from the cathedral to bag this one. A bit quieter around here than it was around the cathedral.
