A beautiful sunny afternoon saw 3 of us at the GR with spades in our hands and determination written on our faces to find the elusive bolt. Ah well. Failed miserably. With CJ and RB.

Disappointing not to find this given the large exposed rock near the GR, but the acreage of heather would indicate this has probably been overgrown and likely to be found now only with some determination.

GPS today preferred heathery highpoint but trowel detected nothing hard near surface. Also checked rock exposures but no luck. Decent viewpoint though. Access from gate S of Corry Lodge.

Heathery summit GPS indicated trowel position. view N towards Ullapool

NC20 H113 BOLT. 1 m2 of bedrock at GPS position with the remaining area covered in deep heather. I suspect some work with a spade might prove fruitful.
