I had tried to log this before but was unable to find the farmer to get permission to go on his land. Today I was lucky to catch him and he was very happy to let me go. It is not easy to reach, having to climb a few gates, cattle (beware of the bull, the sign warns you), electric and barbwire fence, but it was well worth it. There are some lovely views.

Like others followed the path around but a steep overgrown bank, a barbed wire and an electric fence to negotiate. Pillar comes into view as you go uphill. Herd of cows saw me so had to retreat quickly. My 50th pillar logged, won't forget this visit.

Having found no-one in or around the farmyard I, like Jon Glew took the direct approach - except that I walked into the farmer on my return! Had friendly chat with him and his young sheepdog Gwen, I think I was forgiven!

Took the direct approach, but the place was deserted so just walked through the farm out the other side into a pasture and bagged it. Original cap in place, lightly indented lettering; rear and RHD side sight holes open, LHD side plug degrading. Good views S, E & N; W obscured by hedgerows. OS messed up with the name as farm is called Buryfield Farm.

Followed others by walking part way round the footpath, then seeking and finding a way through the barbed wire fence, and then quickly making it up to the trigpoint. Looking at the map earlier I'd expected better views, but pleasant enough farming land.

Biggest challenge is getting into the field off the footpath that skirts round it. Managed to find a gap in the hedgeing and slipped between strands of barbed wire quite a challenge for an otherwise nondescript trig. Parking either side of road where the footpath leaves it.

I followed the path that skirts the farm and then headed up by the barb wire fence which leads to the trig. The trig is in full view of the farm but you are only visible for about the last 30 metres of the approach so I took a chance. Plug with indented lettering.

Walked all the way round this one on the public footpaths and decided that this was going to be an "ask" job as the trig is right in the middle of the farm. So we called at the house on the right as you go in, and the farmer's wife was very helpful and told us how to get to it. A very friendly dog than escorted us to the trig - and didn't bark at us once! Metal plug with lightly indented lettering.

I walked around the public paths and couldn't see a way into the field, let along see the trig. Went around to the farm, which seemed deserted apart from unleashed dogs. I showed no fear and knocked, no reply, I went through to the fields and could see the trig but no obvious route to it. Went back, dogs still interested in me & barking. Got to the car. Home to change my pants. This was the most unwelcoming environment, straight out of Deliverance.

I did a little sneak over a barbed wire fence just to see this one, then chickened out of going up to it. I was in a bit of a hurry so didn't want to ask at the farm. But it's there.
