(41) Good run out to Bigby. Drove down Somerby Wold Lane. Just before the field entrance, there is a bit of a pull in, so parked there. A fairly decent walk to the pillar. The land rises somewhat, but once inside far enough, the pillar can be seen off in the distance.

Visit with Carole. We parked on Somerby Wold Lane which is driveable. Then walked along the hedge lines to reach the pillar. In good condition and still retains an original plug.

(256) Easy walk up the field edge from the lane on the south, chap walking his dogs on the field wasn't interested in me. Trig has a few chips off one corner but otherwise it's in good condition. Hedge still quite gappy, the new trees don't appear to have done much.
