Standard 1/4" rivet set into part of the sea wall. Didn't measure it, but from centre of the block, it's a little S and a little W.

So after the treeless expanses of Blackpool front into the wild lostness of the Wyre. Loads of birds - even saw some eiders (three - you can get hundreds apparently - a nice compensation for abandoned holidays). Mud banks with old boats, jangle of houses by the broad expanses of the now deserted harbour. Haunting place, said hello to the glorious lighthouses. Be good when it gets it's trams back.

Returned after failure yesterday just to check whether it was really missing, or whether I'm as blind as a bat. It was the latter of the two. In bright light today I found it virtually straight away.
