The footpath from Walton follows the line of former Barnsley canal. Rivet is located on the remains of a lock (the vertical groove next to the trig mark would have been used to insert stop planks for maintenance).

SE22 T281 RIVET. Located on top of a platform-type structure (station, lock?) towards the south end in line with a vertical slot in the stone work is a small rivet with remnants of white paint and/or adhesive.
