Parked at the end of the forest track and followed the PROW north to a fire break then east to the pillar which was relatively easy to find next to a stone wall and deer fence which would make access from the east difficult. The tracks were rather wet due to an earlier downpour. Unsurprisingly there are no views.

Just enough room to park in the forest track entrance on the crossroad. Took the bridleway from the road until due west of trig location then follow line of tree planting up hill towards trig point. Found wall and wasn't to far from trig. Spend a little time removing some of the moss to help made it a bit more visible.

Follow PROW through birch wood then enter the comercial forest, at the t junction with the fire break turn right, almost doubling back on yourself. continue to a small clearing ~100m then due east for ~70m through the forest to arrive at the pillar, next to an old wall and deer fence. Base of pillar covered in moss.

Found this trig by parking at the roadside and following the path into the forest. Turned off to follow a firebreak to the deer fence then had to scramble through the dense tress to get to the trig. No views and the 1 scored is simply for being there. Trig in fine condition, prob due to shelter of trees. Fence still displays damage that iainmac noted years ago. I also got bitten by midges and a flippin' tick!
