Stoke Park Colony was mental hospital established 1908 around the Elizabethan Dower House. Closed 1985-8, redeveloped for housing and apartments 1997. The Clock Tower fortunately remains but OS has the Bolt destroyed June 1988; most likely the tower was re-roofed.
