(1445) After reading Brisey's log, I too parked on the main road. Just enough room at the lodge to do so. Nice walk down to the church. Secluded and out of the way. Grade I listed St James'. No BM present - as is seemingly quite common in Nottinghamshire.

I tried to drive along the lane to the church only to be confronted by a gate so I had to reverse out again, and the main road is not ideal for parking on because of a bend. However that is what I did and strolled to the church. Flagstaff present but no flag flying. Another church without a cut bench mark, disappointing.

Flagstaff, Centre, and bolt (not investigated) all 3rd order. Pedestrian access: pleasant stroll west from village.
