Constructed 1933, there is a small but substantial pump house on top of this covered reservoir where the Bolt is probably located. Tried gaining access to roof, but my climbing skills aren't what they were so soon ceased to pursue that foolhardy activity! OS records computing year as 1938. Good views W over Wylie Valley.

The trig is on a small building on a covered reservoir on the downs to the north east of Wilton. The building still stands prominently on top of the reservoir but the compound is surrounded by a tall secure fence. From the nearby byway lower flat farmland can be seen stretching towards Beacon Hill in the north east; rolling downs of woods and fields are to the north west. From a field to the south of the compound there is a view of Grovely Wood to the south west and over the suburbs of Salisbury to downland ridges in the south east. Iron Age and Roman archeology were found during the construction of the reservoir.
