After attending a nearby geocaching event, me and Jurassic Parkinsons headed out to find this surface block as the YOSM has visited it. Took some finding too. We thought that perhaps it had been moved as there appeared to have been some kind of work nearby so over the wall I went moving stones and lumps of concrete to see if the block had been dug up. Decided to give up searching the masonry or risk a hernia. Consulted the photo's on the app and a scuff of Daz's boot revealed the surface block exactly where it should be.

The final trigpoint for this trip to the West Midlands. You can park right next to this one as there is a hard surfaced ‘lay-by’. A quick look over the ground, where my GPSr indicated it should be, revealed… nothing! Back to the car for some equipment… A trowel, a sharpened screwdriver and a small, hand-held metal detector. The metal detector soon gave me an indication, confirmed by a prod with the screwdriver, that there was something hard under the surface grass. A couple of minutes work with the trowel soon had the surface block uncovered. The views here are pleasant enough. The green, rolling hills are impressive without being spectacular.
